Born and raised in Eastern Colorado, Charla is no stranger to rural life and she is glad to be practicing in a small community. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from CSU and immediately moved to the Western Slope. Her primary expertise is working with adults in the acute care and rehabilitation settings to maximize their capabilities and return to their meaningful occupations. She has particular interest and passion working with people experiencing neurological conditions.

Outside of work, Charla enjoys yoga, skiing, hiking, and reading.

Christina Senechal is a National Board Certified Occupational Therapist.

Christina grew up in Buxton, Maine, a town most famous for being the setting of the move Shawshank Redemption. She received her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern Maine.

Christina fell in love with Colorado after visiting for a wedding with her boyfriend, who is now her husband. In 2013 she and her husband moved to Carbondale and eventually ended up in Rifle. She appreciates the intimacy she gets from working in rural medicine, the ability to know her patients and being a part of their community. She would like her patients to know that she is ready to accept you wherever you are on your healing journey and will support you by listening and helping you find the strength to reach your own personal goals. She is certified as a breast cancer rehabilitation specialist.

When not working, Christina is an avid knitter and spins her own wool yarn. She enjoys gardening and is an active member of the Colorado Native Plant Society. She and her husband are currently working to restore a 1984 U-Haul Camper, so they can enjoy camping with their daughter in Colorado’s great outdoors.

Keely Tatro

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Keely obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences (2011) and her Masters of Occupational Therapy from College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska in 2013. She started her career on the Brain Injury Team in Houston, Texas where her love of working with neurological diagnoses began. She eventually gained some experience working with orthopaedic injuries throughout Texas, Wyoming and Colorado. She has spent the last 6 years treating injuries of the upper extremity, including anything from neck to fingertip, and is currently working toward obtaining a certification in Hand Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the mountains with her husband and pups, whether camping, hiking, fishing or skiing.

I have practiced in the State of Colorado for 21 years in settings which have included rehabilitation facilities, hospital based care, home health setting, outpatient care settings.

I have worked at Grand River Hospital since early 2016 and can honestly say I have never enjoyed my job more. This includes the facility I work for, the people I work with, and the patients I treat.

Strengths:

My professional strengths include knowledge and specialty in seating and positioning needs related to the use of mobility devices including manual and power wheel chairs, expertise in home modification and accessibility issues for adaptation to environmental barriers, the treatment of individuals with including Parkinson’s disease, strokes, multiple sclerosis and other conditions related to neurological conditions. I have recently focused specifically on orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity with an emphasis on conditions of the hand. I am currently in the process of acquiring a certification in hand therapy specifically.

My personal strengthens include my experience in working with people of all ages over the last 20 + years specifically on the western slope area of Colorado and an appreciation for some of the areas pioneers and locals with deep roots in the area. I have gotten to know multiple generations of families and feel a strong connection to the community that has become my own over the years.

Interests:

My interests include anything out doors in the mountains and rivers with my family. My wife and I have 3 kids who keep me busy chasing and being chased!

  • Liane works with people of all ages to help then regain their independence with daily activities following an illness or accident. She has been specializing in pediatric therapy since she became an OT, and has extensive experience working with children with feeding delays, sensory processing delays and Autism as well as working with kids with developmental delays due to genetic disorders.
  • She is currently working on her Autism specialization.

Andrew grew up in the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado where he spent countless hours hiking, climbing, and enjoying the outdoors. Through rock climbing he made many trips to Rifle over the years and always dreamed of one day getting to live in this beautiful area. Andrew developed a deep interest in PT and rehabilitation through his own climbing injuries and decided to pursue a new career in Physical Therapy. He attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff for the high-quality education, small “town” setting and its proximity to the outdoors. He applied to Grand River Health to complete his dreams of being a Physical Therapist and living in Rifle. Andrew treats a wide variety of orthopedic issues, as well as vestibular issues and neurologic conditions such as stroke or Parkinson’s. He also specializes in treating rock climbers and continues to work with leading experts in PT for climbers.

Codi Fruhmann PT

Codi is a a Silt native, and is happy to be living and working in the same community she grew up in. She is now living in Battlement mesa with her kids.

She graduated from UNC in 2009, then completed PT school at CU Anschutz Medical Campus in 2013. She has been working in this valley for her entire career.

“This is home. I have experience in acute care, home health, SNF and outpatient. I am a generalist Physical Therapist.”

Her passions include Oncology, Parkinson’s disease and orthopedic injury. Manual therapy is a big part of how Codi cares for her patients, feeling that the body has an innate ability to heal, and it is her job to provide tools and guide people on the path to help them heal in a holistic way.

In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, getting up in the hills, and spending time with friends and family.

Cody De La Mater

Originally from Southern California, Cody received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. He and his wife moved to Colorado in 2020 to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle and to be closer to nature.

Having been a college athlete, Cody is no stranger to injury and rehabilitation. This experience combined with his desire to help people, and promote health and wellness guided him to the field of physical therapy. Cody believes in establishing honest, open communication with his patients. He ranks “listening” as a top priority in his patient care, as this always leads to better clinical decisions. “Everyone is different and reacts differently to each treatment,” he adds.

When not at work, Cody spends time at home with his wife and their new twin boys. He also enjoys hiking, camping and riding his Harley.

Danelle Docken

Danelle grew up in Enumclaw Washington, and has life experience in the United States Navy, Firefighter/EMT, Wildland Firefighter, Manager, Triathlete, Mountaineer, Ultra-runner, Skier, Mom of 3 kids, and Wife.  She is a generalist physical therapist who enjoys working with patients of all abilities and believe that movement is life and the key to increasing quality of life. She believes in creating a unique plan of care utilizing evidence-based practice and compassion to help her patients to achieve their goals and increase their freedom to move and bring joy to life. When she’s outside of work she enjoys hiking, cycling, mountaineering, skiing, swimming, running, and anything else that keeps her moving. She is excited to live in an area of extreme beauty and opportunities to stay active.

Erin Martino, PT

Erin grew up in Follansbee, West Virginia. She completed her exercise physiology degree at West Virginia University, then completed her second degree in Physical Therapy at Ohio University.

After spending time visiting friends in Colorado, Erin made the move to Glenwood Springs in 1994. She has worked as a Physical Therapist in the Valley ever since, mainly focusing on outpatient therapy with experience in both acute care and rehabilitation, and hippotherapy. Erin considers herself a “Manual Therapist” and enjoys working with patients with any diagnosis. “My job is to help my patients help themselves get back to their best lives, whether that means walking in the grocery store, or climbing a mountain.”

When not working Erin enjoys skiing, biking, hiking and being outdoors. She and her husband spend much of their spare time and supporting their two kids in their sports.

Kevin is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who grew up in Glenwood Springs and is a graduate from Glenwood Springs High School. He went to Fort Lewis College where he received his BA in Computer Science Information Systems. After working in the computer industry for 11 years, Kevin returned to school and received his AAS in Physical Therapist Assistant from Morgan Community College. He has experience working in outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and pediatric settings treating a variety of patients.

Kevin has returned to western Colorado, bringing along his knowledge, skills, and passion for helping others. He finds physical therapy rewarding and takes great pride in his work and seeing patients achieve their goals and return to the activities that they enjoy.

I recently moved back to Rifle. I graduate high school from Rifle and have been moving around for the past 16 years. I would like to get involved in the community coaching and doing prevention programs for adolescents.

I enjoy playing softball, riding horses and spending quality time with my family.

In 2010, she received her Master’s in Communication Disorders from California State University-Northridge and earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing Association. She spent 25 years in the school setting working with children birth-21, first as a Special Education teacher, and then as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Audrey is originally an East Coast spirit, born and raised in northern New Jersey and trained in Boston, who became a Travel Therapist looking to explore the West. After taking a contract in Colorado, she fell in love with the relaxed Rocky Mountain outdoor lifestyle, and finally moved to Rifle in March 2020. Audrey is a generalist Adult SLP with strong medical background in ICU, Acute rehab, Outpatient, and Skilled Nursing care. Her areas of special interest are in Swallowing Disorders and Neuro-Cognitive Communication disorders. She is FEES trained, and has completed over 3300 Modified Barium Swallows to date.

Amy has a broad scope of clinical experience including Inpatient and Outpatient pediatric and adult speech therapy, from newborns to geriatrics. She has experience providing both pediatric and adult Modified Barium Swallow Studies as well as Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). She recently earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association in March of 2023.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys all the fun outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including skiing, hiking, rock climbing, and skydiving!
