Education:
I have practiced in the State of Colorado for 21 years in settings which have included rehabilitation facilities, hospital based care, home health setting, outpatient care settings.
I have worked at Grand River Hospital since early 2016 and can honestly say I have never enjoyed my job more. This includes the facility I work for, the people I work with, and the patients I treat.
Strengths:
My professional strengths include knowledge and specialty in seating and positioning needs related to the use of mobility devices including manual and power wheel chairs, expertise in home modification and accessibility issues for adaptation to environmental barriers, the treatment of individuals with including Parkinson’s disease, strokes, multiple sclerosis and other conditions related to neurological conditions. I have recently focused specifically on orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity with an emphasis on conditions of the hand. I am currently in the process of acquiring a certification in hand therapy specifically.
My personal strengthens include my experience in working with people of all ages over the last 20 + years specifically on the western slope area of Colorado and an appreciation for some of the areas pioneers and locals with deep roots in the area. I have gotten to know multiple generations of families and feel a strong connection to the community that has become my own over the years.
Interests:
My interests include anything out doors in the mountains and rivers with my family. My wife and I have 3 kids who keep me busy chasing and being chased!
