Grand River Health proudly serves residents of Western Garfield County, Colorado and beyond. Our service area encompasses the communities of Rifle, Parachute, Battlement Mesa, Silt, and portions of New Castle and DeBeque.
Our main hospital campus is located in Rifle, which is 23 minutes west of Glenwood Springs and 1 hour east of Grand Junction. The city of Rifle offers year round recreation with everything the outdoor enthusiast can imagine – all in a picturesque location on the Western Slope of Colorado. The atmosphere of a caring and friendly community has been preserved amidst a steady growth of population.

Rifle Falls State Park is a Colorado State Park located in Garfield County northeast of Rifle. The central feature of the 48-acre park is a triple 70-foot waterfall flowing over a travertine dam on East Rifle Creek.
The town of Rifle is a growing Colorado community booming with new businesses and opportunities while maintaining its small town atmosphere and local community feeling.
Rifle Gap State Park has something to offer every outdoor enthusiast. The clean clear waters of this 350-acre reservoir afford some of the best boating, swimming, water skiing and fishing in Colorado. Camping, hiking and picnicking opportunities at this 1,305-acre park also await visitors. The fun doesn’t stop in the wintertime with ice fishing and cross-country skiing readily available. The popular campsites at Rifle Gap are spread out along the northern shore of the reservoir.
The Western Slope of Colorado is a great place to call home. The varied landscape provides a multitude of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Big game hunting, fishing, golf, water sports, world-renowned rock and ice climbing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling: It’s all here for you. For those who enjoy the ski slopes- take in the world-class mountains of the Vail and Aspen valleys; just an hour East.
