Hospitalist Director
Dr. York graduated from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in San Francisco, CA, then completed her internship and residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Association in Internal Medicine with an emphasis in Hospitalist Medicine.
York grew up visiting her grandparents in Colorado and always knew she wanted to live here one day. Upon completion of her residency she and her husband moved to Rifle and settled on a 3 acre farm near Rifle Gap. She enjoys running, growing their own food, raising chickens and spending time with her husband and young son.
When asked what she wants her patients to know about her, Dr. York replied “I truly love being a Hospitalist. I want to be there for people, help them get better and return to their lives. It is fulfilling to be able to take care of our community in a very real way.” She quotes her grandfather’s favorite saying “no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care” as what she strives for in her practice.
