JOB PURPOSE:To improve the health and well being of our communities.
BASIC FUNCTION: Performs a variety of tasks involved in the collection of specimens from patients for laboratory procedures to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Draws and collects blood samples, verifies patient records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Conducts drug screens and breathe alcohol tests. Uses a variety of techniques to perform the duties of the position. Clerical duties include but are not limited to processing department mail, answering multiline phone system and responding to email and fax inquiries. On call duties may be required. Carrier services may be required as needed. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred. Must have current BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
Experience: Previous phlebotomy experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
$3,000 Sign On Bonus
* Sign on bonus is available for full time positions. 25% will be paid at 2 weeks, 25% at 6 months and a 50% after one year.
